Installation

Difficulty: somewhat involved (~30-60 minutes)

Tools required: T10 driver, 2.5mm hex, metal spudger

Remove all plugs and lie the speaker on a flat surface. Remove the three hex screws holding the base, if present. Slide the fret upwards to remove.

If you're able to remove the woofers without removing heat sink, skip to that section

Undo the two screws holding the socket module, and release the 3 plugs.

Undo the 10 T10 screws holding the metal heat sink. The two smaller screws are the second row from the top.
Lift out the heat sink, which may take some force as it's secured by an adhesive gasket. Unplug the speaker connector and set aside.

Undo the four screws holding each of the woofers. Again, which may also be held fast by adhesive. Remove the plastic port cover and tweeter housing with 6 more screws.

Two final T10 screws and more adhesive hold the top plate in place. Locate the new part and screw it into position.

It's not usually necessary to renew gaskets or adhesive upon re-assembly. When re-installing the fret, place it about 1cm above the base, and slide into position while pushing both sides.
