Tweeter

If ordering a replacement for a tweeter with a screw-in heat sink, order the version without and transfer it from the outgoing part.

Part numbers:
8480352, 8480015, 8480237, 8480243, 8480321, 8480388, 8480454, 8480343, 8480436, &c.

Compatible with a wide variety of models: replaces all visually similar parts.
Both versions are interchangeable if replaced as a pair, though anything manufactured before around 1996 may require the positive terminal to be soldered as it’s too large for one of the speaker’s spade connectors.

Easy (~1-5 minutes)

Remove the speaker fret, which will vary in difficulty depending on the model. This is unlikely to be difficult, but care should be taken not to break any plastic clips.

Undo the two T10 screws holding the tweeter, gently pry it from the screw hole, and unlock the two spade connectors.
When installing, transfer the gasket to the new part, and ensure the spade connectors locate securely with a click.
